Structural Project Engineer

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience as a practicing PE with an emphasis on building structures.  Must have SC registration or ability to obtain immediately.  The role will be full-time in office with the option of periodic remote working after 12 months. The candidate will be proficient in the design of common building materials such as reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel, steel bar joists, metal decking, cold-formed steel, and wood framing.  Must be comfortable working on a wide range of building design projects and in a fast paced environment.  Must be accountable for project delivery schedules and milestones.  The Structural Engineer will coordinate directly with the Architectural, Civil, & MEP designs teams. The Structural Engineer will report to the Principal.  Site visits and inspections may be required on some projects.   Proficienty in AutoCAD is a must.  The Structural Engineer will have proficiency and understanding in common structural analsis and design tools such as RISA, STAAD, Enercalc, Strucalc, Tedds, Steel Smart System.

The following attributes will be a plus for the ideal candidate:

  • Proficiency in Revit Structure
  • Understanding of code provisions for high seismic and high wind areas
  • Understanding of residential design and construction
  • Ability to design deep foundation systems

Office Adminstrator

The position can be part-time or full-time depending on the candidate and will be in-office with the option of partial remote working after the first 12 months. The candidate will be able to assist and support the Principal and Engineering Staff with a variety of adminstrative tasks.  The candidate must have proficiency in Quickbooks online and an understanding of business financials.  The candidate will be responsible for transitioning current Financial, Project Management, CRM system to a more streamlined and efficient software system.

  • Administrative support: Handle correspondence, schedule appointments, and prepare documents
  • Communication: Manage phone calls and emails, and facilitate communication between staff and clients
  • Record keeping: Maintain filing systems, update records, and ensure proper record retention
  • Office supplies: Manage inventory and ensure supplies are available
  • Policies and procedures: Establish and update office policies to maintain order and efficiency
  • Budgeting: Assist with budget preparation, track expenditures, and process invoices
  • Office events: Coordinate office events and meetings, and oversee catering
  • Travel: Create travel itineraries for employees and executives, and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Staff support: Supervise office staff, and assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training
  • Reporting: Provide regular project cost & budget reports to management and staff
  • Marketing: Manage and increase the firm’s marketing presence on social media.  Coordinate signage on construction sites with clients.
