Structural Project Engineer
Summary of Role:
This position is for a structural project engineer. The role will be full-time, in office with the option of periodic remote work after 6 months. The projects typically include the analysis, design, and evaluation of building structures, which can be new, existing, residential, commercial, small, or large. The ideal applicant must be comfortable working on a wide range of building design projects and in a fast-paced environment. They also must be accountable for project delivery schedules and milestones. The Structural Engineer will coordinate directly with the Architectural, Civil, & MEP designs teams. This role reports to the Principal. Site visits and inspections may be required on some projects.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years’ experience as a practicing PE with an emphasis on building structures
- SC registration (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Proficiency in the design of common building materials (reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel, steel bar joists, metal decking, cold-formed steel, and wood framing)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency and understanding of common structural analysis and design tools such as RISA, STAAD, Enercalc, Strucalc, Tedds, and Steel Smart System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Revit Structure
- Understanding of code provisions for high seismic and high wind areas
- Understanding of residential design and construction
- Ability to design deep foundation systems

Structural Project Engineer In Training
Summary of Role:
This position is for a structural engineer in training. The role will be full-time, in office with the option of periodic remote work after 12 months. The ideal candidate will work both individually with the guidance of other engineers and as part of a team. The projects typically include the analysis, design, and evaluation of building structures, which can be new, existing, residential, commercial, small, or large. This person will gain additional and diverse experience working on a wide range of building design projects and in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to one of our Professional Engineers..
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT designation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the design of common building materials (reinforced concrete, reinforced
masonry, structural steel, steel bar joists, metal decking, cold-formed steel, and wood framing)
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Knowledge of common structural analysis and design tools such as RISA, STAAD, Enercalc, Strucalc, Tedds, and Steel Smart System
